Toddler

A Cozy Home Away from Home
14 months - 2 ½ years

The toddler room offers children fourteen months through two years and six months a nurturing environment for your child. The room is designed to be safe and aesthetically pleasing which helps build self-development, self-confidence, and independence.

Toddlers are given the opportunities for developing, socializing, napping, emotional growth, physical coordination, and cognitive preparation for future academic activities.

The importance during the toddler years is on building self-confidence and developing the natural inquisitiveness that toddlers acquire. Our daily activities include sensorial exercises, simple everyday activities, art, music, stories, and a respect for each child. Your toddler will take pleasure in his or her environment and will continue to develop a life long love for learning.

Peace of Mind

No need to worry – your toddler will be nurtured in a beautiful, safe and clean environment. From rigorous background checks for teachers, to CPR/First Aid Training for all staff, to a comprehensive school emergency plan, rest assured that we have thought of every detail to protect your child’s well-being.

An Environment Optimized for your Toddler

Toddler size shelves display beautiful materials designed to stimulate your child’s senses. Teachers speak in gentle tones and the decor is understated and homelike. Your child will feel right at home in an environment created just for him or her.

Close Communication with You

First word, walking, and establishing independence. What was impossible yesterday seems easy today. We celebrate these milestones and keep in close communication with you to ensure we are always doing what is best for your child’s development.

“My wife and I pursue Montessori education with our little ones at home, so we looked at a number of Montessori schools. For the most part, we saw a lot of hybrid daycare/Montessori schools that were very disappointing. A few schools that we found were true Montessori schools, such as Country Hills.

We chose this school from the other true Montessori schools (which is not too close from our house) because we liked the way the school is run by administration and staff. It reminded me of the way parochial schools were run when I was growing up.

The principal/owner is very involved with the teachers, assistants, and regimen, so the curriculum always remains tight and stimulating. The teachers and assistants are very nurturing to the children, yet emphasize independence and good foundational habits.

As far as the work and curriculum, it was exactly what a Montessori school should be providing for their students, so that was a “must” before we even enrolled.”

Well Trained Teachers

Toddler classrooms are led by trained Montessori teachers. This training program is a thorough education in child development from birth to age two and an half and prepares the teacher to create an optimal program for your child. More than just a job – our Montessori teachers have a career of choice because of their love for toddlers, their interest in Montessori education and their unwavering commitment to do what is best for children.

Adults: 1, Children: 4

Toddler can never have too much love, care and affection. To ensure your child receives personalized attention, our toddler program provides one adult for every four children.

Trust through Consistency

Your toddler is sensitive to change and routine, and we make every effort to ensure consistency to help your child feel safe and comfortable. Sleep and eating schedules are based on your child’s individual needs, which are carefully observed and documented in our app for communication with you.

Part of a Larger Educational Community

At 30 months,  your child is ready for greater challenges. Country Hills Montessori provides a continuum of Montessori education and your child will have a seamless transition to  Young Preschool.  Planned well in advance, this process is designed to make both you and your child comfortable. A meeting with the new teacher and brief classroom visit in advance of the move facilitate the transition.

If you think your child would thrive in a Montessori environment, give us a call or contact us. We would love for you to visit our school and learn more.
